Heidi Ramírez serves as senior advisor to America Achieves, where she provides strategic leadership in the design and implementation of a portfolio of state-specific and national education leadership networks to improve student preparedness for 21st century careers and lifelong success. Ramírez, who has spent nearly twenty years working in urban education, previously served as the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for Shelby County Schools (Memphis, TN) and for Milwaukee Public Schools. She served also as Associate Dean for Professional Education and founding Director of the Urban Education Collaborative in the College of Education at Temple University (Philadelphia), and in a variety of roles in philanthropy, education research, and government. She is also a prior member of Philadelphia’s public school board (School Reform Commission) and multiple community boards. She currently serves on the board for Women’s Foundation for Greater Memphis and The Institute for College Access and Success. Dr. Ramírez earned her Ph.D. and MA in sociology of education from Stanford University, an Ed.M. in education administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and a BFA in art education (and public policy) from Syracuse University.

Mary Conroy Almada has worked on a variety of projects and initiatives to increase the organization’s impact and reach. Mary has served the Communications Consultant and as the New York Program Manager for the Educator Voice Fellowship, overseeing the Educator Voice Fellowship in New York. Mary graduated from the University of Georgia with an A.B.J. in Public Relations and a B.A. in Spanish. Her previous work in education includes teaching at an elementary school in Atlanta through Teach For America and working as a project manager for an education technology startup. Wanting to gain a deeper knowledge about the issues surrounding education and levers for improvement, Mary attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she earned her Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management. She currently lives in Atlanta and enjoys traveling, hiking, writing, and teaching yoga.

David Bramlett currently serves as a Senior Director for America Achieves, where he provides strategic leadership on educator networks and regional efforts to develop effective pathways to good jobs. During the course of his career, David has worked in schools as a teacher and school leader and invested his time and energy in education philanthropy and public policy. Prior to his work at America Achieves, David was the K12 Education Program Director at the Kern Family Foundation leading the foundation’s national portfolio of investments focused on school leadership and international competitiveness. David also previously led a school turnaround effort as principal of HOPE Christian School: Fortis in Milwaukee, WI and started a teacher training program with the Jubilee Centre in Ndola, Zambia. He began his career as a kindergarten teacher at District Heights Elementary School in District Heights, MD. He is also a co-founder and board member of the Shade Partnership Fund, a philanthropic group focused on creating sustainable change in the education and child trafficking sectors. David earned a M.P.P. focused on social policy from Duke University, a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from George Mason University, and a BA from Wheaton College (IL). He lives in St. Louis and is married to an educator.

Lance Hostetter serves as the Colorado Program Manager for the Educator Voice Fellowship. Over the past several years, Lance has served in various roles in Colorado education advocacy, government, and politics. Prior to joining the Fellowship, Lance worked the Colorado Department of Education as a Communications Manager where he primarily supported the Office of Early Learning and School Readiness with external and internal communication. He also worked with the Denver Scholarship Foundation, a Denver public charity, where he advocated for equitable college readiness and success practices for Denver Public Schools students. Lance also has experience with the Colorado Legislature, the governor's office, and with congressional campaigns. He earned a Master of Public Administration from CU Denver; he also earned a B.A. in communication.

Sheri Rodman joined the America Achieves team in 2014. She currently serves as the Director of Data & Operations where she provides strategic leadership in building networks of educators and regional pathways for high school students and adults to access good jobs. During the course of her career, Sheri built the New York Educator Voice Fellowship at America Achieves, provided leadership opportunities for teachers at Teach Plus, helped select Teaching Fellow candidates at TNTP, and taught high school math in Washington, D.C. Sheri earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, and an M.A. in Education from American University.
